I just got finished watching the most recent video episode of Eric Worre's Networking Pro. He REALLY got me fired up with this one.
It is all about the FTC rulings regarding Endorsements and Testimonials that went into effect on December 1, 2009
Eric and MLM Expert, Len Clements, have a VERY candid conversation about what should and should not be discussed about product results and income during ANY conversation with a potential customer or prospect.
When you listen to the two of them speak… you should be thinking..the "Golden Rule".
Hyped up product result claims are a disservice to EVERYONE … hyped up business claims about income potential and how "easy" it is to be successful in a network marketing business are a DISSERVICE to everyone.
My coach … one of the most successful network marketers on the planet today … said this to me the other day …
"Rose…when people sell MONEY… they are selling something that they can not GUARANTEE.
If you can not GUARANTEE a result …and YOU cannot GUARANTEE how much someone else will make… it is a LIE… it is IMMORAL.
When people don't make the kind of money you told them they would make…reagrdless if they did anything that they were SUPPOSED to do or not… it PISSES them off.
Then they go around telling all of their friends… who told them from the get go that they were crazy to even think about getting involved with one of THOSE SCHEMES… that they were LIED TO and that network marketing doesn't work.
That kind of crap hurts people and it hurts the industry. Here's a question for you … What good is earning $10,000 a week if that money is earned at the EXPENSE of OTHER PEOPLE…???"
DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE DONE UNTO YOU
I will be frank with you….
I got into this industry TO MAKE MONEY…
Same reason I became a CHEF…
I needed to be able to DO SOMETHING that would pay the bills…
I just never counted on the fact that I would fall in love with food and all things kitchen…
And that becoming a professional Chef would transform ME and the VALUES that I live my life by…
Who knew that I would undergo ANOTHER TRANSFORMATION becoming a network marketer…???
And fall in love with network marketing…and all the people that I have been privileged to meet…
I became involved with Networking Marketing because of the LEVERAGED INCOME potential that I saw in building a large downline.
NIce idea right…???
Leveraged income is SMART INCOME….
The concept is GREAT…
When the concept manifests into reality it is BRILLIANT…
The only thing missing is….
HOW TO get to to a point where you have a large downline generating you a leveraged income….
When this is all about the MONEY….
The MONEY doesn't happen easily and effortlessly….
Why….???
Because the most important part of the equation has been left out….
THE PEOPLE…that large downline that is generating a leveraged income….
SERVE PEOPLE well FIRST…by telling them the truth….
TELL them that this really is a 3-5 year game….and why LONG TERM vision is critical
TELL them that they need to LEARN some new skills…and what those skills are…and where to get the training…
TELL them that it is not always EASY…BE there to HELP THEM through the tough times
TELL them that they will need to consistently GET BETTER…to constantly IMPROVE…to GROW
TELL them it very well may be a few months before they even cover their autoship….
TELL them the truth that this has nothing to do with a product,…a system ….or a comp plan…it has to do with THEM….
TELL them that this has everything to do with the RELATIONSHIPS they BUILD with other people…
TELL them that they must provide exceptional VALUE to other people….
TELL them that they must always SPEAK OTHER PEOPLE'S GREATNESS INTO THEM FIRST…show them possibility that they can't see for themselves
And after you are done TELLING…
Keep on SERVING your people by being a LEADER…
SHOW THEM HOW TO DO IT BY DOING IT YOURSELF EACH AND EVERY DAY
You want that leveraged income…???
SERVE OTHER PEOPLE FIRST…
BUILD OTHER PEOPLE FIRST…
and then
OTHER PEOPLE WILL serve you and build you with joy in their hearts…
They will stay WITH YOU FOREVER…
Become a LIVING…BREATHING… WALKING REWARD FOR OTHERS…
And the Higher Power will RETURN THAT TO YOU … with interest…
That is when earning $10, 000 a week becomes the REWARD you receive for SERVING OTHER PEOPLE….
