Think about the most successful people you know of …
In your networking company… in your “brick and mortar” job …
Think about the most successful people ‘under’ the most successful people.
They all have the same system everyone else uses and yet their results are significantly different. Why? What’s the difference? What do they have that others don’t?
Donald Trump … Oprah Winfrey … Tony Robbins … Lady Gaga … President Obama … Warren Buffet
Household names … right ??? HOW did that happen …???
Let’s think about some other people for a minute … your Mother … your Father … your first grade teacher … your pastor …
your doctor … your high school football coach ….
Maybe NOT household names … but … these people are still very important to you … WHY …???
20+ years ago … I studied a man that helped form the way I think about many things today …
I know that you have heard alot about him … although you won’t necessarily think of his name right right away …
Mr. Golden Arches himself…Ray Kroc
The founder of the still successful McDonald’s franchise system.
Part of my Culinary training was to learn and understand the profit factors influencing success and failure in the Food and Beverage industry.
Now why would a classically trained Chef pay attention to the King of Fast Food …???
Alot of folks believe that McDonald’s … Ray Kroc … is successful because of a simple system that anyone can plug into and turn an overnight profit…
That is a very tempting glass of Kool-Aid to drink from.
Just follow a simple system and voila … you have just entered profit heaven. Lots of people drink that glass of Kool-Aid every day, especially in Network Marketing.
But, I want you to think this through with me …
If it was actually true that McDonald’s system is the key to its success, why do they change their menu so often? Why do they offer regional menus? And, if this really is true, wouldn’t all duplicatable systems be successful? Wouldn’t all the people that are using duplicatable systems be successful?
There are lots of failed food franchise stores (some McDonald’s included), just like there are a lot of unsuccessful Network Marketers who are using a “simple duplicatable system”.
Interesting fact …
After the franchise model took off in the 1970s, the FTC almost shut down the entire industry because so many franchises were naively purchased based on the belief that ‘it’s a system, so its going to make me alot money,’ when in reality, many people – people who had no business at all buying a franchise - lost everything … their capital investment, their homes, their cars, quite literally the shirts off their backs … many lives were destroyed and families were badly hurt. And the franchise business got a really bad reputation with the general public. Does that sound familiar?
How many times have you been told that “all you need to do is plug into a simple, proven system to be successful in Network Marketing” …???
It took Ray Kroc a heck of alot more than a system to make McDonald’s successful, just as it takes McDonald’s corporate leaders a lot more than its system to keep McDonald’s on top of the fast food game toady. Remember when they stopped offering the ‘Super Size It’ option and added lighter and healthier salad options? Why would they change their successful system?! Because they had to in order to give a “starving crowd” what it wanted to buy.
The answer is not in McDonald’s system, but in their ability to INFLUENCE consumers to buy what they are selling. Having a system in place is just a small part of the total success (profit) equation. It was Ray Kroc’s INFLUENCE that allowed him to INSPIRE others with his VISION and PERSUADE them to buy his franchises. It was INFLUENCE that allowed people to sell the promise of easy franchise profit to other people. It is INFLUENCE that allows some people to be super successful in network marketing, while other people, who don’t have influence, flounder around year after year, using the “plug and play simple, proven success system” to no avail.
It takes INFLUENCE to lead people … to persuade people … to do anything.
“The Proven Success System Pitch” is Just Another Bright Shiny Object … Like Fools Gold …
Looks Just Like The Real Thing … But It’s a Big Waste of Time and Effort Digging It Out of The Ground … Because It Doesn’t Have Any Real Value
Having a system is only a part of the process, and it is not the most important part. It is nothing more than a tool (like having a computer). It’s important, but pales in comparison to what people really should be focused on learning, doing and becoming.
So What Is IT That REALLY Makes A Difference?
I believe that developing and honing your skill and ability to Influence other People will take you from scratching and clawing like a chicken in the barnyard for every dollar you earn, pitching and selling your “deal” day and night like a snake-oil salesman to earning more money than you can imagine with a lot less struggle and effort and a whole lot more ease and grace.
The amount of INFLUENCE you have with other people determines how ATTRACTIVE you are to other people. It is the key to successful attraction marketing. It will determine who you attract to you as business partners in your network marketing business … who you attract to you as clients for your coaching programs and services … who you attract to you as a spouse … who you attract to you as friends …
The amount of INFLUENCE you have affects everything about your life …
E V E R Y T H I N G
When you become more ATTRACTIVE as a business person, OTHER INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE will WANT to work with you. Just imagine what having someone like Mike Dillard on your team would do for your business. What Mike brings to the table is worth far more than ANYTHING you could ever produce yourself …
Everyone in network marketing is always looking to SPONSOR an “MLM Top Producer” … they KNOW that person is going to explode any business they choose to build.
The question that I have for you is …
When are YOU going to explode YOUR INFLUENCE to become the kind of person they would love to partner with?
AND …
Just in case you are thinking that you don’t have what it takes to become an “Influencer” … that you aren’t beautiful enough … handsome enough … smart enough … thin enough … young enough … rich enough … high-profile enough …. WATCH the video below …
Nick Vujicic INFLUENCES hundreds of thousands of people around the world …
I KNOW that anyone who develops their own level of INFLUENCE can do exactly the same thing. !!
He doesn’t influence people with a “simple system” …
He influences other people … he moves other people … touches their lives by sharing exactly who he is TODAY … by contrasting who he was and who he had to become and what he had to go through to get to his authentic self …
Not always a pretty process … not always graceful … but ultimately beautiful and absolutely influential …
What are your thoughts about influence …??? Do you have any suggestions that will help others develop their personal influence…??? Feel free to share below !!
