Problem_Solving_or_Marketing_I was listening to a webinar today …. it was delivered by a well known Marketing Maven … and I really felt that her message was very incomplete when it comes to effective marketing….

So I decided to get some feedback from the people that I network with on Facebook ….

The responses were very different and that in and of itself is very interesting…

The question that I asked was…

Who are you…A marketer or a problem solver…???

Marketer_or_Problem_Solver..Marketer_or_Problem_Solver_2

Here is what I think…

Before you can successfully market anything …

You first need to know if there is a real need … or a real problem… that your product or service can help solve.

Once you have determined that…

You will have killed two birds with one stone…

You will have found your ideal market and you will know that your product is viable….

Not knowing if there is hungry market out there that is willing to spend money for the solution you have…

Would be like trying to sell a steak in a vegetarian restaurant….

Sure you have a crowd of hungry people…but they just won’t buy your steak under any circumstances…

If people aren’t buying what you are selling…

You won’t be in business for very long …

Here is something else to consider…

You really do  have the perfect solution for a particular problem…

There are lots of people out there that can benefit from it…

And they have the money to pay for the solution…

Why should they buy from YOU…??? …

Why should anyone be willing to RISK their hard earned money on YOUR solution…???

People are very skeptical these days… there is a lot of nonsense going on in the world…

People are scared … people don’t want to look or feel stupid … people don’t want to get ripped off …

What needs to happen next…and this is just my opinion… is that you have to DEMONSTRATE  that you can help people right from the very beginning…

You lead with your best stuff first…and you give it to them for free…

Counterintuitive…you bet…

But the high level of good will that you build with your prospective customers and clients will pay big dividends in the long run…

By giving them the solution upfront…

By showing  them that they can do it….

By giving them the tools that can help them succeed right away…

You allow them to convince themselves that a bigger paid offer will benefit them even more…

And because they are HAPPY with YOU and now TRUST YOU so much…

They become long term loyal customers and your raving fans…

This is what will put more money in your bank account faster than selling anything upfront…

So … Who are you…??? A marketer or a problem solver…???

Me…??? I am a problem solver who markets to the right people who self-qualify for my solutions and become raving life long fans…

(Was THAT what all of the other folks were saying….???)

I don’t know what YOUR answer to the question is….but it would be really cool if you could share YOUR thoughts about it down below in the comments section…
